Believe it or not, there’s a big community of expat living here in Da Nang. Da Nang city near beautiful beaches, friendly people, amazing local or westerns restaurant / cafe, and beautiful bridges that connecting to city centre. There are 3 separate living area based on your choice of community but eventually it all depending on your choice of apartment or rent price.
Many of you may not know me, currently living in Da Nang for almost 4 years now. If you planning to come and visit, November till March is the best time as it cooler weather than normal between 18 c to 28 c. But please prepare your umbrella or rain coat for unexpected rain during. From April to October would be sunny weather and can get really hot during the day.
As you can see on the photo above, this area known as Ngu Hanh Son and majority westerners prefer this designated location as it convenient. When you looking for apartment for rent, for example studio apartment with basic features and the price will start from 5,500,000 VND (USD240) a month but if you looking for more westerns style studio, prices starts from 7,000,000 VND (USD300) a month. Depending on your choices and budget.
Yes, there is Koreans community here in Da Nang and Korean shops is everywhere in Son Tra area. There’s few as well in Ngu Hanh Son district too. Majority Koreans prefers air conditioning apartments and they willing to pay higher price for a more comfortable apartment to live in. Besides, there’s a lot Korean supermart everywhere and easily noticed selling Korean famous snacks or noodles. Even some of them opened up cafes, spa, bbq restaurants, hotels to accommodate Koreans demand.
Another community that you may not expect is Chinese and Japanese living in Da Nang. But surprisingly there are here living and working in Da Nang. Expect the unexpected.
Motorbike is the most used vehicle here in Vietnam by most people because it convenient and cheap to find. Buying a car way more expensive but for some people it is doable. For Koreans and Chinese, they would prefer use car as a mode of transport.
